A 1925’s low roofed brick house, with small rooms. Required a new second story for bedrooms and evoke the Asian style Craftsman.
Main floors walls removed to create an open plan with floating walls dividing living spaces and circulation. A steel frame supports floating wood steps. Wood and brick were salvaged from the demolition to create the interior walls.
Main roof has an Oriental influence with oversize beams supporting the roofs. Walls and windows are a modern version of craftsman siding.
