1950’s brick ranch with small rooms was sited on a picturesque half acre lot with potential for a second floor and scenic views.
Walls were removed internally on the first floor to create a welcoming open plan with a dramatic staircase rising to new second story. The main living room and large terrace are placed on the second floor and embrace the views to mountains. An observatory caps the top of the building and is wrapped with windows for 360 views
The horizontal brick supports the dynamic floors above and compliments the roof overhangs typical of the Frank Lloyd Wright era. Art Deco bands wrap around the house and run over the windows and stylize the house back to the 1920’s.
